Works For Me Wednesday- Holiday Gift Guide

December 10, 2008

Is it just me or do a whole lot of the stuff in the “Christmas” ads frankly suck this year. I am uninspired. Uninspired as to what to ask for, uninspired as to what to give. Now this could lend itself to a whole other post about how I have too much stuff, and don’t we all have too much stuff, and consumerism-bad, what about the true meaning of Christmas. All very good and valid points, but not where this post is going (and it is going somewhere…promise). I just have been a bit clueless this year when it comes to gift giving.

Enter Mom’s Central Holiday Gift Guide. Ideas for everyone on your list. Pets too!! Am I supposed to be buying people’s pets gifts? Should I get a dog just to score a new vaccum specifically designed to pick up dog hair? Is this product necessary in life? See, not only a gift guide, but really it’s a guide to life’s deepest questions (can someone tell me why Nicole Kidman does not have people in her life who tell her to lay off the botox-not answered in the gift guide BTW).

Anywho, there really are ideas for everyone in all sorts of price ranges. AND as an added bonus you can win things. Things you can regift as presents or keep all for yourself. All you have to do is register with Mom Central then click the giveaway icon on the guide and leave a comment. How easy is that. And I promise the lovely people over at Mom’s Central won’t send you a bunch of emails and drive you insane. Instead you actually might get a chance to review wonderful products and provide feedback.

p.s. in case you are wondering what to get me from the guide…this…you can all just go in together for it. Thanks in advance, you guys are the best.

When we had our dog a vac that could actually pick up her hair (fur?) would have made cleaning much easier. Now that she has left us (she lived a long good life) over a year ago yet her hair lives on in all the corners & crevices of the house. I’d say get the vac but forget the dog unless you are really a dog lover!!!! The kids should provide you with enough opportunity to test that vac’s real abilities.
    Merry Christmas

This is the second time I’ve heard about mom central. Thanks for the glowing report! I feel the same as you, completely uninspired on the giving and getting. Blessings to you this Christmas!
