Oh yes, I am the coolest mom in the world. I scored Hannah Montana tickets and went to see the concert with my daughter (who is 5) in December. It was actually a pretty good concert. The Jonas brothers opened for her and the noise was ear piercing. Imagine your daughters screaming and times that by 50,000. The best part? I paid face value for the tickets—I probably could have got lots of money for them but then I wouldn’t be cool. Enjoy the music–it actually is pretty catchy. I know most of them now. “Let’s go GNO, let go…” Ha-ha.

  2. Do I see a Music Monday- Hannah Montana next week?? My niece got a Cheetah Girls keyboard and it was at my house for only 2 hours and I wanted to pull my hair out by the roots because it was so annoying. I’m glad that the HM guitar is better.

Clare told me after her big sleep over that she “was ashamed to say she watched Hannah Montana” at the sleep over…those exact words. I asked her why, and if she liked her. She said she just liked the songs she heard. I figured the show was way too above her age, so never thought about it. After watching Oprah though I didn’t feel too edgey about her seeing it.

    What a sweet post!

My daughter is only 16 months, but I know it won’t be long before I’m dealing with the same thing!

My 3-year-old still watches Curious George & Dora – I’m trying to keep it that way as long as I can. Not really because there is anything wrong with Hannah Montana – it seems like a pretty innocent show/character/pop star. I just find the cartoon monkey less annoying……….

Well if Hanna Montana ends up knocked up in the next few weeks watch out for those tween shows. I am so glad Zoe101 got canceled. I am so scared having a girl. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & SpongeBob can’t end up preggo :)

Sad to say, I have heard of Hannah Montana, but I wouldn’t know her if I walked into her. My oldest is 6, so I guess she is still young to really get into her. I am sure, soon enough, the “tween” stars will become part of my everyday vocabulary. For now, I will be happy to be on a first name basis with Curious George and all the Disney Princesses.
