Things I Love Thursday- Yummie Tummie (GIVEAWAY!!)

Remember back here when I lost 8 sticks of butter? Well at current count we stand at 24!! Counting in sticks of butter is so much more rewarding than in pounds don’t you think. Except butter…..mmmm….butter….. Anywho, despite my attempts at weight loss, I still got more “bowl full of jello” than the big guy in the red suit. I’m being realistic, I’m 30 (mumble, mumble, mumble) and this is my third kid. I am under no illusions that this is going to melt off.

Enter my new best friend, Yummie Tummie. I am a big believer in shapewear to cover up a multitude of sins, but it is pretty difficult to wear full body armor while you are nursing. And I find things that don’t give you full coverage tend to just roll up down the very blubber you are trying to cover. Can I get an amen?

Yummie Tummie makes a line of tank tops that from the bust up and your hip bones down, it’s a tank. But, around you middle there is a firm control midsection panel, which smooths and shapes your tummie and hips, eliminating pounds off your appearance, and camouflaging any lumps and bumps. Seriously I feel like I go down a pant size with this thing on. They make t-shirts, slips, long sleeve shirts, and tanks. Oh and NURSING TANKS.

Nursing tanks are a nursing mommies best friend. There is nothing worse than nursing and having your belly just hangin out there. Nursing tanks cover you up and allow you to nurse much more discreetly. But this is like a nursing tank on steroids. Coverage plus slimming equals absolute perfection. This is an absolute must have for any new mom and worth EVERY PENNY.

    OH my heavens. How do you pick?!

    I GUESS I would try the nusring tank, though I have a question for you. In the picture on the right on that product page(illustrating the flap closure), not only does the under-section show, but the over-layer is sagging so that you can kinda almost see peek-a-boob through the model’s left side nursing hole. Some of the nursing bras I own have this problem, where (with use) the top begins to sag so that the under layer always shows, and if I’ve worn it through several nursing sessions it may even stretch/sag low enough to show breast. WHILE LATCHED.

    Luckily they are bras and covered by a shirt. Have you encountered that problem at all? I suppose if this was used as an undergarment it would not be a problem, but I’d like to be able to wear it as a tank.

    Oh and the likelihood is that I would spend the remainder of the gift card on a undercover tank too.

    All purchases would be in black, by the way. If I’m trying to hide stuff I’m going to go all out.

    Wow! This Yummie Tummie stuff looks awesome! I am a tank top love and wear them under everything or by themselves as soon as weather permits, so the Yummie Tummie tanks look great. However, I also wear cami’s under everything (including the tanks!), so I love the Freedom cami as well. I have to say though, there’s not one thing there I wouldn’t try. Sadly, I’m weaning, otherwise I’d be all over the nursing tank!!!

     I love the nursing yummy – INGENIOUS!!!! Post-baby I’ve been wearing this girdle-type thing that comes up to my ribcage- and while it does help your shape come back faster, it does NOT make it easy to pee! A top-down option sounds fantastic!!
