Things I Love Thursday- Preserve Toothbrushes

July 23, 2008

So if you have been with me long, you know that from time to time, I come across something that requires minimal effort from me, but allows me to “be green.” Cause I am not going to lie, I am a lazy environmentalist. Actually, I may just be a lazy person, but a really lazy environmentalist.

So when I was given the chance to check out a new toothbrush made from recycled yogurt containers, I was like, “sign me up.” Cause I have to brush my teeth and I eat a lot of yogurt. So I am figuring I am saving the world a whole lot already. But wait, it gets even lazier, I mean better. When you wear out your toothbrush, you just go to their website, print out a mailing label, send it back and it will be recycled again. Not into a toothbrush cause that would be a little gross, but into a deck or a picnic table.

Even better news, Preserve makes adult and children’stoothbrushes and they sell them at Target. Dude, I totally already go to Target. Often…ok, really often. So I wouldn’t even have to use extra gas to get there. And here is a coupon. Which you can print out on the back of some paper that was about to be thrown away. Oh my goodness, I am like the queen of green. Next thing you know I will be riding my bike to the grocery store. Wait, I forgot I am a lazy, oh so lazy.

Have something you love? Mr. Linky up below. But first, please check out the rules. Cause you know us mommies love the rules. Just a reminder to please link back here. That helps your readers find all the bloggers playing along and, who am I kidding, helps me out too.

I totally have to try this. I too am lazy and this might just save one trip to Wally World for a new toothbrush.

Oh, I mean, it will be good for the planet too!

Oh cool, I’d read about those but I didn’t know they sold them at Target. I love that they recycle the used ones as well, what a great idea.

I’ll have to look at these next time I’m at Target. It’d defintely be a good replacement after our stash of not so environmentally good ones run out.

I LOVE preserve. I add them to gift bags for Birthdays, etc… just to help spread the green word. Who doesn’t need a new toothbrush!

I’m giving stuff away… so stop on over and enter, even if you already have!

    Cheers!

Oh yeah, I got some of these too. I forgot. The only problem is that they are not free with a $1 overage after a rebate and coupon, like the shelf-full I have from Walgreens already.
