Tis the season of dry skin and chapped lips. And as a stay at home mom who showers too infrequently and lives in her pajama bottoms, I really don’t need anything else bringing me down in the beauty department. So I have chapstick in about every nook and cranny of the house. And in my purse. And a few in my car. But my lips are still dry. So I am always on the lookout for something new.
I was given the new Neosporin Overnight Renewal lip therapy to try. I have some chapstick next to my bed that I always put on so this was already part of my routine. It comes in a little pot and you apply it with your fingers. Neosporin Overnight Renewal Therapy promises to repair and nourish while you sleep to give you healthier lips in 3 days. But does it work?
I feel like it does. It seems thicker than lip treatments that go on in a stick. Actually my lips feel really great after I put it on. But the downside is it doesn’t taste very good. Not that I make a habit of eating chapstick (ahem). Some of them taste really yummy. And frankly my lips feel so good after putting it on that I kind of keep rubbing it together. And tasting a really “treatment-y” taste. But the payoff is much smoother lips that the other chapsticks. And bonus: Unlike some other really good lip treatments, this one is at a drugstore price. So I am hoping my fabulous lips distract from my lack of makeup and uncombed ponytail hair. There is a reason this post is picture free….

Oooh…you want to talk chap stick and I’ll listen! I can’t live without it…my lips always get dry and I just simply feel prettier when I put it on…not a big fan of lipstick because I feel like I have to be dressy to wear it or something.
Chapstick still goes with old jeans, Uggs and a sweatshirt…which is my uniform!
