Things I Love Thursday- Little Debbie 100 Calorie Snacks

tilt  When I was growing up my mom regularly stocked the snack cabinet with Little Debbie Oatmeal Pies. That snack brings back such fond memories for me that when I see one I am transported back in time a bit. So when Little Debbie asked me to review their new 100 Calorie Snack Packs, I raised my hand hi and screamed “Pick me, pick me!!” Well in a virtual internet sort of way.

Alas, the oatmeal pies aren’t represented, but I might have found a replacement in their yellow cakes which are a dead ringer for a twinkie minus the filling. In fact, 8 (!!!!) snack packs arrived in the mail the other day and we are already down 2 boxes. I have been sharing people, don’t judge. And everyone seems to have a favorite. I must confess that I lied to my children today and told them there were no more yellow cakes because I didn’t want to share the last one. I justified it by telling myself that I needed to eat if for blog research purposes. I am sure you will all back me up.

I am a sucker for anything labeled 100 calorie, but half the time I am left very disappointed cause the portions are miniscule and the taste is nothing like the original. No disappointment here, everything is full of flavor. The brownie is a little small, but everything else makes a perfect dessert or midday snack. Hence the quickly disappearing boxes.

How would you like to try all 8 kinds of 100 Calorie Snacks? Cause the good folks over at Little Debbie have 3 boxes with my readers names on them. Now, it is up to Mr. Random.org to determine whose names those are. To enter, simply head over and leave a comment letting me know which 100 Calorie pack looks the best.

I want to make sure you are all aware that none of the 100 Calorie snacks are part of the peanut butter recall. The Little Debbie snacks affected are their crackers only. So no worries.

For a second entry, leave a link on my Things I Love Thursday carnival. Now PAY ATTENTION cause a lot of you are missing out on your second entry. You MUST leave a comment telling me you linked up cause even though I can clearly see that in the Mr. Linky, I pull the winner from the comments. Got it? If you have never participated in Things I Love Thursday before, please check out the guidelines so you can link up properly. They make it easy for people to find you and send some traffic your way.

The contest ends next Thursday when I will announce the winner in my next Things I Love Thursday post. Which I post on Wednesday night. So the contest actually ends Wednesday night. How’s that for crystal clear. Lost came back on TV tonight and my brain is fried. So comment and link away. And good luck!!
