Things I Love Thursday- Leslie Patricelli books

tilt We are big readers in this house. From the biggest to the littlest of us around here, we can’t get enough of books. One of my favorite things is to discover new kids books and watching my kids my kids fall in love with them. And one author we can never go wrong with for the toddler set is LesliePatricelli.

I think I first discovered one of her books at the library and the simplicity and adorable drawings hooked me immediately. And my kids loved them from such a young age because they are easy to memorize. I have also noticed my speech therapist using them. Our personal favorite’s are Yummy Yucky and No No Yes Yes . I am not sure who likes them more, the hubby and I, or the kids.

I was really excited that I was recently asked to review Leslie’s newest book Higher! Higher!. This book instantly brought me back to that feeling from childhood. Getting pushed on the swing and really feeling like you could touch the sky. And that annoying, I mean endearing thing that children do when they ask “Again, again, again, again” after you do something they enjoy.

If you are looking for some new books for your kids or a great gift for a child you love, I truly don’t think you can go wrong with Leslie Patricelli. What is is you love? Link up in my weekly carnival and let the world know. If you are a first timer, check out the guidelines. Otherwise, thanks for playing along.

Jill is the author of The Diaper Diaries. She has been changing diapers for 6+ years as a stay at home mom of three children. She also has a devoted husband who graciously puts up with this little internet hobby. They all probably wishes she would exercise a bit more discretion as she shares their life's ups, downs and in-betweens with anyone willing to read it. You can (almost always) find her on Twitter @DiaperDiaries.

I know that you already posted about Zenni Optical, but that’s why I’m posting about them! Because I heard about it from you, and I had a great experience with them, and want everyone else to be able to save money on glasses too! :-) Thanks for the tip, and hopefully now I can share it with others too!

Yes! We too love her books. We love them despite the fact that “No No Yes Yes” proved to be a naughty toddler idea book. We found “baby” face down in the toilet and our little girl can’t stop eating the dog’s food!

We are always looking for new books to read to our toddler, and ones that get other parents’ go ahead always are worth checking out! I wrote down the author’s name and we’ll look for them the next time we’re at the bookstore. Thanks for the recommendation.
