Hey, there is no reason a gal can’t look cute while being green. It’s just good fashion sense, yeah?!
And I just wish I had the guts to strike a Charlie’s Angel pose as I leave a store. If I looked like Cameron (or even Drew), maybe I’d chance it. Way too inhibited . . .

I broke down and bought reusable’s from Trader Joes. Their bags are pretty cute, and some are only .99 cents! I figured I could use them for other things like returning library book, and movies. Or hauling all the junk in from my car when I clean it out. Even though I LOVE the paper bags from TJ’s….I figured since I shop there at least twice a month that it would be a good investment. Just because you’re a SAHM doesn’t mean you have to look crunchy….now strike that pose!

Those are so cute!! I have a couple of miscellaneous reusable bags- but I like the 5 packs. I forget to take mine because they’re all over the house- at least with the 5 pack it’s more compact.

Those are so cute. They would be good for a beach bag too. I’ve been eyeing the 10 for 10 dollar ones at Kroger but those are so much cuter.

I use the ones I get from various stores. Stop & Shop’s are plain green, with their logo, but they are nice and sturdy. Waldbaum’s has really nice ones with pictures of tigers or cardinals or zebras or whatever…except they aren’t as sturdy. My big problem is remembering to carry them into the store–they’re usually in the back of my car. Out of sight, out of mind.
Al Gore drives me nuts, too. I, too, vote Republican and have an SUV–although I did downsize from a Durango to an Escape, LOL! We all do our part in different ways to help our Earth–not everything works for everybody! So, you’re doing just fine, IMHO!

I COMPLETELY agree with you. That’s rare, because I usually don’t even agree with my other personalities.

I love the idea of using reusable bags… but my problem is remembering to bring them to the store with me. Any suggestions?

I love these bag, too. I have the set of lovely five “Flora” bags and they really are as awesome as they claim to be!!!
These bags roll up so tiny that I always have a few of them in my purse and tow in the car, so I never forget.
The best part, the teenagers that work at my local grocery store are always so amazed by them. It’s so funny. They say stuff like, “Wow! You can match them with your outfits…coooooool”.

i’ve been doing the re-usable bag thingy for years – i love it! to make sure i always have some on hand when i hit the store, i keep a bunch of them in the trunk of my car – when i finish unloading the groceries, i fold all the bags but one, then tuck the folded ones into the last one remaining and to make sure it goes back into the car, i hand the bag on the front door know so the next person to leave the house puts the bags in the car! Now if I could just remember to take my re-usables into other stores – i hate those little plastic bags and even though i put them in the recycling each week, it bugs me to no end!
