I have shared a bit about the small steps we are making in our household to move towards a healthier environment. Mostly they involve food, but I am always looking for other ways to look out for my family’s health. We have replaced some of the cleaners in the house and am gradually phasing out some others.
But one area I haven’t been very good at going “green” is in baby products. Which makes absolutely no sense because hello? Shouldn’t I be the most careful when it comes to the little ones? But I think the whole cloth diaper thing just overwhelms me and then I get stuck with what I can do. Cause I frankly am not going to do cloth diapers. Go ahead. Throw things at me.
That is why I was so excited to discover that Ecostore has a line of baby products. You know what is crazy weird? EXACTLY one year ago today I reviewed Ecostore for the first time. I am still using some of their cleaning products. But now I have the opportunity to try some of their baby products. And I am equally impressed.
Ecostore sent me their baby wash and baby nappy balm to try. First of all I have decided that from now on I am going to refer to diaper rash cream as nappy balm. Nappy Balm!! Who doesn’t love to say that? Anyway, in all honesty I haven’t had to try the nappy balm yet. Which is a good thing. The little man hasn’t had a diaper rash. So is it bad to say that I hope I don’t get a chance to use it? Sorry Ecostore peeps. But honestly some of the stuff in regular diaper rash cream creep me out. So I am glad to have an alternative.
However, I did try out the baby wash. It has the most fantastic smell. Which means my kiddos have the most fantastic smell after I bathe them. Also, it seems highly concentrated because I don’t have to use much at all when I bathe them. And all the ingredients are plant based and non-chemically. Downside? I don’t know, I honestly can’t think of anything. I am a fan.
Would you like to try out an Ecostore product? They have offered my readers a $25 gift card to use toward their products. Well head over to their website and let me know in the comments which one. Want extra entries? You MUST leave a separate comment for each one to get the extra entries.

Just wanted to say thanks for the “nappy” shout-out- I am finally starting to say nappy instead of diaper…however with American movies, the Scots do know what I mean when I say diaper.

I linked in with my love this week.
I don’t use a feed reader, but I want to follow with an RSS feed, but I don’t see that as an option. I haven’t quite figured out how to make it available to my readers yet, either, since I just switched to wordpress. Just wondering if you have considered it.

I would like the nappy balm, too. I thought I would be free of rashes, until the teeth came in, and then it was guaranteed every time. Even though baby mac won’t be here for another 8 1/2 weeks, I know the value of stocking up.

I’m all for going green as much as we can. I’ve been trying to make my own cleaners around the house, but then I also look for hair and bath ones otherwise. Thank you so much for the link to the Ecostore! I’ve never even heard of them.

I was happy to learn about Ecostore. I myself have been in search of more organic, alcohol, fragrance free, hypoallergenic product for my nephew and I was happy to learn that since their ingredients are so natural it is safe to use on my nephew. I have already passed on the information to my sister and whether I win or not I know she will be purchasing many of their products

Oh I forgot to mention I personally just ordered some of their soap bars. Can’t wait to get them and try them
specially the vanilla one. I was also shocked by their prices…They are extremely affordable
