Things I Love Thursday- Breyers Ice Cream (Plus a GIVEAWAY)

To me summer = ice cream. I am not sure if I told you, but my hubby got me an ice cream maker for my birthday. So we have been enjoying quite a bit of homemade ice cream her at The Diaper Diaries. Oh.my.word. There is nothing like homemade ice cream.

But as much as I love homemade ice cream, I miss ice cream treats. You know, the things you grab after a meal with a stick involved. Or the things you bribe your kids with to eat their spinach/broccoli quiche (ahem). Or simply the kind that just involve grabbing and sitting on the back deck without having to make my own. Sometimes 30 minutes is just too long to wait for ice cream to be made you know?

I was recently given the chance to try Breyers new Smooth & Dreamy Ice Cream bars. They come in six flavors, but I opted for the Triple Chocolate Chip (yum) and the Chocolate Caramel Brownie (double yum). I am currently on a mad hunt to find the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (oh my heavens!!). Now these don’t fit perfectly with my “all natural” food mantra, but I tend to cheat here and there when chocolate is involved. And I am happy to report that they have no artificial colors and are low calorie so I don’t feel as bad about indulging here and there.
