Music Monday- Mat Kearney

 Sorry this is late getting up, I haven’t had much computer time today and forgot to do it last night. Today, we once again venture into the world of non-Christian music made by a Christian man. Speaking about his current album he says:

When I made Bullet, I didn’t make it to be completely exclusive to the Christian market. I’m a Christian, but I felt like I had a message for a lot of people. So I made a record that I felt could stand up to any artist out there, from any market, based on excellence of music.

And stand up to any artist it does. Kearney has a really unique blend of hip-hop and folk (yes I said hip-hop and folk). I can’t really compare him to anyone cause who mixes those 2 things? You might recognize some of his music from your favorite TV shows cause they have been on a lot of them (anyone ever heard of a little show called “Grey’s Anatomy?”)

Here is a favorite in the Diaper Diaries household. Lily sings it quite often. What you may not know is that it is a song about a man struggling to find God. I hope you really enjoy it!
