Hee hee, all I remember is that I too opted for ‘the natural way’. My first child was a sunnyside up baby (meaning there wasn’t any way she could be born naturally). My labor plans quickly switched to 3 simple words:

drugs drugs drugs!

Never will forget that time….

Glad you haven’t had your third yet We had a scare too (I’ll be 35 weeks tomorrow) and Friday I was having labor-type contractions like crazy. Guzzled water, got a bunch of extra protein and calories (I’ve really struggled with getting the amounts of nutrients in my diet that pregnancy requires..) and my midwife has me taking a calcium/magnesium supplement now.
So my uterus has calmed down a lot, but I still have contractions when I’m up and trying to work on stuff… So then it’s back to bed for me.
Man, and we’re remodeling our house – we’re living in the den right now, and I wanna be working on finishing it so that we will be in our new bedroom when the baby comes (No, we weren’t stupid enough to remodel while I was pregnant, but we did buy a house that ended up needed the electric COMPLETELY redone, and had to move in before we could finish the remodeling, so… Okay, maybe it was still stupid. But in this economy, in this town, buying a cheap house on credit will save you a lot more than living in an apartment )

You take it easy – I don’t think either of us want preterm babies (the mental image of my baby being hooked up to a ventilator is enough to make me willing to go on bed-rest; and that’s saying something!)
