I cannot wait for Christmas!! And next year will be so much fun – a toddler in the house (someone else to eat the sugar cookies that Luke likes us to make during the Christmas season).
We do coloured lights on the tree, I think they are SO beautiful. Hubby Luke likes white, I like coloured. But I have a selfless man. One of the first things we decided when we started courting was that we would do coloured lights on the tree :p (that was second in importance only to ‘we will never lose the toothpaste cap’)

this year, I got a little tree for our den, and that has white lights, just for him

We set up our tree this weekend too! But we keep our ornaments packed until the week of Christmas – I have 2 little boys who love to touch EVERYTHING!

My husband and son also have a birthday on the 13th so I am waiting to get all the household decorations out until after that day!

Since we don’t have thanksgiving down here in Australia, the most common tradition is to put it up on the 1st of December. I’m one of those people, and the 1st is tomorrow *is excited*

I can relate to so many of those points!! Our tree usually goes up the day after Thanksgiving, but the last two years they’ve gone up a few days early – but only b/c a) we had a sitter and b) no thanksgiving parties at our house. Otherwise it would have been after for sure! And I have the toddler this year … I forgot though!! Found her eating one ornament already … great mom moment!!
