Remember WAY back in the day when I used to do Music Mondays. Yeah that was way back in the day, but I am bringing it back for a special occasion. One of my friends, Rick Hopkins, has released a CD and I frankly think it is awesome. And I want you to think it is awesome too. So I am giving two of you a chance to win one. And then you can tell all your friends how awesome it is and then he will become famous and I can go on the road as his backup singer. Then someone will hear me one day and think, “Why is this woman singing backup? We need to give her a million dollar contract and get her an album.” Think of all the clothes and shoes!!! And it would be all because of you (and Rick).
Here is how Rick describes this album:
The album is called Still Frame because it shows where I am currently at in life. How I think, how I write music, the impact of God on my life, losing loved ones, gaining a family, and all the stresses, anxieties, worries, fears, joy, happiness and victories I have experienced thus far.
You can listen to a few of the tracks over at his website and if you like what you hear leave me a comment and you will be entered in. The contest will run for a week and end Oct. 6th. Comment away!!

First of all thanks for the chance to win a cd of Rick’s music… I just heard 3 of his clips and think they were great. Right now his Psalm 42 is my favorite. (have no idea if it would remain my favorite should I hear more of his work)
By the way I’ll be away from Oct. 7th through the 25th and have no computer access so if I should win please be patient with getting a response from me!!!

psalm 42 and lift up your eyes are very powerful songs. my husband and i are in a similar season of life, as we just lost a baby to miscarriage just a few weeks ago. christ is our hope and strength, and rick’s cd speaks so strongly of this.
thanks for introducing me to his music.
