The constant talk of chocolate (wait that is normal), the weeks of sickness (although the stomach flu was an actual stomach flu), the days where I just randomly decided not to post, or Twitter or Facebook. Something is surely amiss.
Well, I am thrilled to report that I am pregnant. Evident by my stretchy pants and third bowl of Mac and Cheese I am currently consuming. It has been a trying first semester, but I am almost through and hoping the worst is past me. As the regular readers of my blog know, it took a little longer than I had hoped to get here so I am trying not to complain and just be grateful. But as anyone who knows me in real life can attest to, not complaining isn’t my strong suit.,
I also recognize that everytime someone announces they are pregnant, that reminds someone else that they are not. And for that I am sorry. I have been there and I know it is painful. But I hope you can celebrate with me. Because I hope to share this journey with you all, my blogging family. I have never blogged while pregnant before. So I have no idea how much or how little to talk about it. Hopefully more on the too little than too much, but with me that seems unlikely.
Anyway, we are pretty excited around here. Lily and Hannah are jazzed to be big sisters, both insisting that they want a sister. Hannah rather emphatically. We will be finding out, but my gut is all over the place and rarely reliable when it comes to these things anyway. I am due October 20th which is 2 days after the hubby and his mom were born. Yes, my hubby was born on his mom’s birthday. I am thinking if the baby can hang in there that long, I might be able to parlay it into some local press. The Today Show would be even better. Although I am not sure they would agree to do the post 10 months after the baby is born and I can fit into my jeans again.
Thanks to those of you who prayed for me. Even if you didn’t, thanks for sharing in our joy. I am excited to have you all around through this.
