I think your approach of writing down the resolutions is very helpful. Not to mention they are all things that will come with time so you may need to refresh by looking at this post again…that’s ususally what I have to do when I get off track. I’m right there with you on all three of those resolutions, especially being a more patient parent. For me it will mean clearing my schedule of stuff that isn’t really as much priority as my kids. Have to work on learning how to say no sometimes and create better boundaries for myself. Have a great day!

I’ve never been a fan of resolutions either, but my husband and I also set some goals. I want to lose my baby weight and we bought a wii and wii fit with the money all our grandparents gave us, and we are going to try to exercise regularly, and take walks and jogs when the weather warms up – we want little boy growing up with exercise as a regular part of life, I want to get us back to eating healthy (that is, fewer sweets and eating out – I’ve let our nutrition slack with the new little one needing to nurse around cooking time so much!) and we want to do more bible reading as a family – having a baby to take care of really has made us want to organize our life!

  5. I am in the same boat as you with baby weight loss. I found that tracking the number of calories I am consuming to be the simplest way to lose the weight. My littlest is 6 months old and I hope to be done losing weight this summer.
    Good goal list.

know what I’m NOT resolving this year? To be a “better wife.” I love my surprise daughter (thanks again Jill), but we’ll be taking a little break in 2010. ;-) Happy New Year to you and your family!!!

Great goals! Your health ones seem totally attainable (and sustainable!). Simple foods can be delicious and healthy.

I e-mailed you about coupon help soon – it’s one of my 2010 goals :)

Definitely there with you on better managing debt and healthy eating!

Doing a more thorough job teaching and of course, finally writing that breakout novel are two more goals for me. We’ll see what God has in store;)

Hope your 2010 is the best yet!

One of my resolutions is patient and present parenting. I too know that I should slow down and breathe before I get so impatient with my little ones. I look forward to reading about your journey…and getting ideas from you :)
    Happy New Year!

I’m with you on those student loans. We are planning to eliminate my husband’s this year. Woo hoo! Mine will take several more years, unfortunately. But it will feel so darn good to wipe one of them out. Keep us posted on your progress!
