Thanks for the reminder. I too had a lump removed three years ago when my youngest son was 2 months old and my oldest was almost 2. It turned out to be a lipoma the size of an egg. Crises averted, prayers answered. I just ran the Race for the Cure for the first time and will do it every year now. Amazing sisterhood of women. Happy healing to you!

hey, have you seen those t-shirts advocating BSEs? They read “Feel Your Boobies” and have a little pink ribbon. I wore mine to bed regularly, until my oldest son started reading.

Glad that everything is looking okay! I had surgery a couple weeks ago for some other female anatomy concerns. Evidently I just snored under sedation and they had to put something in my mouth to keep me from swallowing my tongue. Good times.

I’ve decided to opt for early mammograms + MRI for baseline because of 1)size 2) family history. Now its just convincing the insurance company this is a good thing.

Thanks for reminding all of us to do our exams!

So glad that you are doing well. I hate to be ‘that person’ the day after your surgery – but I do believe that TLC’s best hit was “No Scrub” – or whatever it is called. All I know is that ‘I don’t want no scrub, a scrub is a guy that gets no love from me. Or perhaps he is a guy hanging out the side of his best friend’s ride, trying to holler at me… I can’t recall.’

I would be more on the ball about posting on relevant days, but I am giving myself a self-provided pass for being late due to newborn in la casa.

Full recovery and negative results are still in our thoughts and prayers.

Your posts always inspire me, and this one made me smile. "Could you make me a c-cup while you are in there." Priceless. I am so glad that everything turned out okay, and that you are doing your part to remind women on the internet to do breast self exams. Everyone always thinks that it could never happen to them, including me. But now I am going to do mine once a month as well.
