Frugal Friday- TJ Maxx (GIVEAWAY!!)

I have talked before about how I love me some TJ Maxx. Are you on the bandwagon yet? And if not, why not? You could get your whole list shopped for in one store. This Christmas I am taking part in a little blogger secret Santa project and I did a little shopping at TJ Maxx. I won’t tell you what I got because, hello, you could be the recipient, but I will tell you I had fun poking around for the perfect gift. Well mostly fun except my store had been rearranged and I was a little confused.

I also was provided with a giftcard to buy me a little sumpin’ sumpin’. I thought it would be a great way to buy some last minute gifts for the people I love, but then decided the person I loved the most at that moment when I saw the super cute sweater was me. So I am now rockin’ a cute v-neck. And because I still had money left over after buying my $20 sweater (twenty bucks? Holla!!), I got my daughter an adorable flowered closet organizer. Which sounds really boring, but it will allow me to do this with daughter #2. It is still working with Lily but I hadn’t yet implemented it with Hannah. Which was leading to far too many mornings when it was 12 degrees outside and we were battling over why she couldn’t wear the “bootitul” sundress that she loves. When you are ready to retire from parenting by 8:30 am it is not a good thing. So thanks TJ Maxx for that little window of sanity.

Also, TJ Maxx and Marshalls have launched a “Carol-oke” contest for the holidays. One lucky person will win a $5,000 holiday shopping spree – just for singing their favorite holiday tune!  The contest launched on Nov. 30th, but you still have time to enter. Head over to YouTube‘s specially-created “Caroling Channel”, www.youtube.com/jointhecarolers. Then, you can select from one of three carols, create your own “Carol-oke” video and upload for entry into the contest.  For each off-price “Carol-oke” video that is uploaded, a charity donation will be made. So good for you and good for Toys for Tots.
