I saw that you had commented on my post about Bible study. It is so easy to drift, isn’t it. Even if you are commited to Christ and devoted to His Word we are “prone to wander, Lord I feel.” Paul wrote to the Galatians 5 and said that there is a perptual internal guerilla styled hand to hand combat (in the original language) between the flesh and the Spirit. “The Spirt wars against the flesh and the flesh against the Spirit.” Our flesh is so bent on self-gratification that we find ourselves drawn away from holy things. I can feel your pain! It is so true!

I am sure I have invited you already, but in case I have failed to tell you that we are hosting an online Bible study for MOMS on the book of Ephesians called High Stepping in High Places. It sounds like you are already doing a study but you might like to drop in sometime. We will have an online 45 minute video and an online discussion each week starting Sept. 24. If you know of ANYONE who might be interested, please pass this along. We are tying to connect with as many MOMS as we can. Thanks.

Hulu is amazing! I also am unable to get rid of cable due to the fact that I am addicted to Television...but we do watch streaming videos sometimes from our computer and have watched old episodes of shows that we haven't watched on Hulu. We just got rid cable because we were watching everything online. And if you can’t find a show on Hulu, you may be able to find it on the network website.

At our house we subscribe to Netflix and for $8.99 a month we get unlimited access to their on demand library. They have a mediocre selection of educational programs for kids, but mom and dad have been catching up on four seasons of “Lost” after the little one goes to bed.

We haven't had cable in years. At first the thing I really wanted was a DVR, but we've even managed to work around that since most of the shows we watch are online so we can still watch them when we want- just in front of the computer instead of the tv. We've saved thousands of dollars by not having cable for so long and we've even reached a point where even if we had the extra money for it we still probably wouldn't subscribe. .-= Candace´s last blog ..A Proud Moment =-.
