BlogHer ’09 Recap

  Are you sick of hearing about it yet? Well I promise only a few more days and then I will shut up about it until next year in NYC!! Yes, New York City. How exciting. Anyway, to summarize the weekend in one post would be entirely too difficult, but I will tell you I had a really good time. I met lots of new friends, ate tons of good food, picked up a ridiculous amount of swag and learned a lot. Mostly that wearing heels, even though they are super cute, is not a good idea when seven months preggo. But the upside? Being seven months pregnant at a blogging convention will get you lots of attention. Mostly the good time.

I am running on fumes at this point. I got so little sleep (so did my roomates because apparently when I am pregnant I have a bit of a snoring problem) and ran around like a crazy person so I feel a nasty crash coming on. In fact today I started crying over something so minimal and once I started I really couldn’t stop. That is a SURE sign that you need some sleep.  I anticipate sleeping for the next 4 days until someone notices my kids have not been fed and are running amok around the neighborhood. Surely at 3 and 5 they are old enough to take care of themselves?

Tomorrow I will give you a top 10 BlogHer list, but tonight I must sleep. I will also try and link to some other BlogHer posts so you can get a lot of perspectives of a few others who were there. What would a conference full of women be without a little controversy?  Hopefully that will sort itself out soon, but I will probably link to some of that too. I also am really excited to share about some of the products I learned about this weekend too. I got a little too excited about some laundry detergent and the best high chair known to mankind. See all you have to look forward to? I am sure you are on the edge of your seat. Now up to bed….zzzzzz……
