So after yesterday, you have been waiting patiently all day for me to come at you with something brilliant. Something that would blow your mind. And I had a free evening. Lily had swimming lessons and then I was going to be inspired and greatness was going to ensue.
Then some friends from Chicago called to say they were in town. And I remembered that I had to make two quiches for the first MOPS meeting tomorrow. Crap, I have to get all my folders organized for that. Oh, and it is school pictures tomorrow. School in general is just hard. Was it this hard when I went? Cause this mom of a school child is really kicking my you know what. There are the lunches, the permission slips, the trying to rouse a tired, whiny person out of bed in the morning. And Lily too.
All of this to say that it is 11:45 at night, I am making a quiche, packing a lunch, cleaning my kitchen and holding my eyes open with toothpicks. But I had a great time catching up with old friends and no offense to my dearly beloved readers sometimes that trumps everything else. Promise I will be back tomorrow.

Hang in there on the school thing…I won’t lie and say it gets better (more kids equals more to remember) but you do begin to find a groove. Maybe you should call out all school mom’s to find out how they organize/track school stuff.
Hope MOPS was fun, I miss you guys.

Someone recently told me that a child’s success in kindergarten (and I guess thereafter) depends on the organization level of the child’s mother.
Part of the Sylvia Rimm presentation I posted about is about school records, keeping them, organizing them, etc. I can’t go but I really need to get that whole thing down..
