Adele- Things I Love Thursday

TILT I don’t know when and how I discovered Adele, but what I do know is once I did I could not get enough of her.

Surely, unless you live under a musical rock, you have heard of “Rolling in the Deep”. If it comes on the radio when I am driving the only acceptable volume is crazy loud so I can sing along at the top of my lungs. And then when we get inside our house Hannah will request to hear it again because she loves it as much as me. (I am raising her right)

But hopefully you haven’t stopped there in your love for Adele’s music. Cause honestly I have yet to find a song I don’t absolutely love. Her latest album, 21, is simply brilliant. She covers every possible emotion and explores gospel, R&B, and blues. Her album is named 21 because that is her age when writing it. It is a follow up to 19 (the one she won a Grammy as best new artist for). Are you feeling old and unaccomplished yet?

If you just want to sample Adele to see if she is your thing I recommend making an Adele Pandora station. I made one a few months ago and I just basically hit thumbs up over and over. And most importantly it has really raised my singing in the shower game.

What do you love this week? Link on up below and if you need any help make sure to check out the Things I Love Thursday guidelines. Thanks as always for joining in!

  1. Hi Jill,

The book by Tim Tebow, the football player, just came out and at the post on my “other blog” that I linked to, I shared a video where he actually talked about God openly, it’s so cool!

Adele is awesome! Love her! She has such a wonderful, classic voice. It’s like the perfect throwback to Etta James / Billie Holiday and those fabulous ladies.

Then again, we don’t even have a cell phone so that shouldn’t be too surprising! ;o)

  6. I love that song too! :) She has quite the voice…I see she had to cancel her concert tour however, because she needs to rest it. I hope she can recover quickly!

Oh my gosh, I’ve heard that song before but I had no idea it was a 21-year-old white chick. Yes, I live under a rock. I will definitely listen to more of her. I LOVE this retro motown trend happening in music these days. Love!

I must be living under a rock. Though I have heard the name Adele, I had not heard her songs before. She does have a nice voice. Very deep. :)

    Blessings!
